Professor Mazzucato regularly gives talks to public and private sector organisations around the world on the economics of growth and innovation.
She has spoken to Governments, public sector agencies, business and private sector organisations in countries including the UK, USA, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and China about the role of the state in modern capitalism and how to achieve smart, inclusive economic growth.
Recent transnational organisations where she has given keynotes include the OECD, the World Bank and the World Economic Forum. Her 2013 TED Global talk, “Government: investor – risk taker – innovator”, has been viewed more than 700,000 times.
Her book, The Entrepreneurial State: debunking public vs. private sector myths, is stirring up much needed debate worldwide and been covered by leading international publications including The New York Times, the Financial Times and The Economist. In 2014 Professor Mazzucato won the New Statesman SPERI prize in political economy.
